The Pets of the Week!

Hello Friends!
I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend! I am having a great time lounging around with The Owners. But since there are many many doggies that are in shelters and rescues right now who need loving families to lounge around with, I am here to present our Pets of the Week! Here are this week's "Tibby look-a-likes" (or the best we could find):

THE PETS OF THE WEEK!

This is India!
She lives in Nevada.

She is a one year old Chihuahua/Schipperke Mix. She loves other dogs but is looking for a home without kids.
She also loves to snuggle with peoples once she gets to know and trust them. That's one of my favorite things to do too!

If you live near India and are looking for a sweet sidekick, you can find out more about her on her page at petfinder.com

Next we have Runt & Little Bit!
They live in North Carolina.

They are sisters that were found in a backyard just days before they both gave birth to puppies! They are both very courageous mamas and sweet snugglers. And of course they are adorable too!

Their rescue says that they already have lots of applications on these pretty little girls. If you live near Runt & Little Bit and are looking for a furry friend, you can find out more about them on
their pages ( Runt, Little Bit) at petfinder.com
Or you can see the other doggies (and a kitty!) at their rescue that are in need of loving forever families here.

This is Cassius Clay!
He lives in North Dakota.

He is a sweet boy that loves to play with other dogs and is a joy to have around!
He is such a cutie and has one of the best ear-do's I've ever seen...other than my own of course!

If you live near Cassius Clay and are looking for a handsome hound, you can find out more about him on his page at petfinder.com

Are you looking for a new forever friend but don't live near India, Runt, Little Bit or Cassius Clay? Don't worry! Just go to petfinder.com and search for pets in your area!

Also, today is Levi's Birthday!
Stop by his bloggy to give him birthday wishes!

Tales From the Litterbox: Episode 3

Beta: Good afternoon! I'm Beta reporting live from Owner Servant Girl's laptop.
Lynx: And Lynx.
Beta: Isn't it a lovely day today Lynx?
Lynx: Why yes it is Be-ta.
Beta: Today we will be voting for head cat of household. Won't that be fun!
Lynx: Yes that will be ver-y fun Be-ta.
Beta: Ok, would you like to go first and nominate who you think it should be.
Lynx: Sure Be-ta. I want to nom-in-ate Be-ta. She is the best cat in the house.
Beta: Why that's very sweet of you Lynx! I would like to second your nomination!
Lynx: Oh good. It is sett-led then.
Beta: Indeed it is. Now we will be talking about what that title means.
Lynx: Oh good. Tell me Be-ta.
Beta: First, the head cat of household will be referred to as your highness.
Lynx: Yes your high-ness Be-ta.
Beta: Second, the head cat of household will have first dibs on all kitty kibble, mice, chipmunks and cat toys that shall enter said household.
Lynx: Ex-cell-ent rule your high-ness Be-ta.
Beta: And third, all other cats must bow down to head cat of household when she enters a room.
Lynx: Of course your high-ness Be-ta.
Lynx: (Walks in from hallway) I heard you were invading Tibby's blog again, you can log in now that my fluffiness is here! (stops abruptly) WHAT is going on here?!
Beta: Oh! Ummm... Lynx, you mean this isn't you? (laughs nervously)
Lynx: No...
Lynx 2.0: Yes it is me.
Beta: Wait, who is the real Lynx?
Lynx: I am!
Lynx 2.0: I am the real Lynx your high-ness Be-ta.
Beta: He makes a compelling argument!
Lynx: IMPOSTOR!
Lynx 2.0: You are the im-pos-tor, fluf-fy one.
Lynx: How did you get here impostor robo-Lynx?
Beta: (looks away)
Lynx: Beta! Did you build this robo-Lynx to act as your co-host?
Beta: I'm sure I have no idea what you're talking about. And you're supposed to call me your highness now.
Lynx: What?! Since when?
Beta: It's already been decided. You can read all about it on Tibby's blog.
Lynx: But...but....
Beta: (Publishes post)

The 5th File Meme & Laundry

Hello Friends!
I was tagged by the Dughallmor Beagles for the 5th file meme.
Here's what I had to do:

Open a document or file folder,
click on the fifth folder and then the fifth photo.Post the photo and describe it.
Then tag 5 other bloggers.

This is the picture I found:
Oh Look! It's me, of course! This was my Halloween costume this year! I made a great pirate! ARRGHH!

I have to tag 5 others to play but I bet almost everyone has been tagged by now. So, I will borrow the beagles' idea and the first five who leave a comment that they'd like to play are tagged! I will add linkies to your bloggies as soon as I can!

The doggies that wanted to play are:
Khyra
Ludo
Moose
Please stop by their bloggies to see their 5th pics!

This week Owner Girl decided that it was time to reorganize and clean the closet.
Plus she had loads of laundry to do. Being the nice dog that I am I decided to give her a paw.
See there I am being so helpful.What?... I'm supervising.I made sure she folded all the clothes correctly and put them in the right piles.
Then I took a nap cuz I found out that helping with the laundry is hard work!Sweet Dreams!

Tibby's Tricky Tuesday!

Happy Inauguration Day!I hope everyone is having a wonderful day! Today we will learn another pawsome trick I know!
I bet President Obama has done lots of this today!

WAVE

Here's what your owner should do:

1. Don't forget to get some yummy, delicious doggy treats!

2. This trick is bet taught after your dog already knows high five or shake! Have your dog sit.

3. Give your dog the signal or command for high five, when your dog lifts his paw move your hand away and say "wave" and give a yummy treat!

4. After a few times only give the command "wave". At first have your dog lift her paw once but after she gets the hang of it, have her lift it twice before getting a treat.

5. As your dog gets better at this trick, you can try moving further away to give the command and use a dedicated hand signal (my Owner Girl does a open palm wave, like a windsheild wiper). I wouldn't recommend using a wave where you fold your fingers down because it can look a lot like the signal for speak.

6. As always keep training sessions short and fun for your dog! Don't get frustrated if your dog isn't getting the command you are working on. Move on to a different one that she knows well instead and revisit the new one at another time.

Also, these are just the steps that worked for me and Owner Girl. If they are not working for you don't worry! There are many other resources and professionals that can help you find the best way for you and your dog!

Good luck and happy training everyone!

The Sleepover & New Friends

Hello Friends!
Last week we had a sleepover with Owner Girl's little sis, Zoe! She was VERY excited to come spend the night with us and had her bags all packed hours before Owner Girl was going to pick her up. We got home pretty late and it was almost time for bed. I barked at Zoe when she got in the bed cuz I thought she was going to sleep in my spot! Owner Girl told me to be nice and I gave Zoe some kisses to apologize. I kept trying to give her kisses cuz I was soo excited that she was here! But Owner Girl made me sleep at the bottom of the bed so that Zoe could sleep.
The next morning when we got up Owner Girl and Zoe got dressed and OG did pretty braids and put a cute ribbon in Zoe's hair! Then they took me outside to go potty. We had some breakfast and played for a little while.
Zoe really liked spending time with The Cat ("Beta"). I can't imagine why when I was there the whole time to play with.
Here's a pic of me and Zoe!And here's one of Owner Girl and Zoe!Owner Girl said that maybe she can come stay with us again sometime!
I sure hope so, we had a lot of fun together!
In other news, I have added some new friends to my list!

Dughallmor Beagles
Gizmo
Holly & Zac
Huffle
Jacks, Narra, Tuchuck & Rousseau
Ludo
Nigel, Sola & Co.
Teddy Bear
Trooper

Don't worry if you're not on there yet, I have a bunch more to add very soon!

The Pets of the Week!

Hello Friends!
Thanks for stopping by to see the Pets of the Week! We got to New York on our list of states this week! And since I live in NY now we have 3 special dogs from my state!
I sure hope these great dogs find their forever homes soon!

The Pets of the Week!

This is Taura!
She lives in New Mexico.

She is an 8 week old Pomeranian/ Jack Russel Terrier Mix!
She's a real cutie even if she's not part Schnauzer like me!

If you live near Taura and are looking for a new puppy pal, you can find out more about her on her page at petfinder.com (We couldn't find Taura's page so we are linking to her sissy Ellie!)

This is Phoebe!
She live in New York. (like me!)
She loves everyone and greets all with a wagging tail!
She only wants to please and play! That sounds a lot like me!
She has a possible forever family coming to see her next week! I hope they are the right one for her!
If you live near Phoebe and are looking for a furry friend, you can find out more about her at her page at petfinder.com

This is Harris!
She lives in New York too!

Harris came from a puppy mill. She was made to have litter after litter of puppies to be sold.
She had limited space and little human contact. Now that part of her life is over and she is looking for a forever family to give her the care and love she deserves!

If you are looking for a darling dog and live near Harris, you can find out more about her on her page at petfinder.com

This is Crosby!
He lives in New York too!

Crosby is at the same rescue as Harris! When we saw how much he looked like me we couldn't help but list him too! We hope his rescue won't mind!
He came from a family that lost their home, he is about 4 years old.
He's very obedient and house trained! Plus he has an adorable face!

If you live near Crosby and are looking for a cute companion, you can find out more about him on his page at petfinder.com
