We are so happy to let you all know that she is recovering well and hopefully she will be able to go home in a few days!

This is Crystal!
She lives in Illinois.

She is 1 1/2 years old. She loves to run in the yard and get exercise. She is getting adjusted to shelter life and is a little skeptical of strangers.

This is Junior!
He lives in Missouri.

He is a red and white sibe that is about 7 1/2 years old! He is well socialized with people and other dogs but would prefer a forever home without cats. He walks well on a leash, knows how to sit and wait at doorways and is crate trained!

The Surgery is Over!

Hello Friends!

I am so happy to report that Owner Girl's little sis Zoe is out of surgery and all went well!

Some of you have asked what was wrong and why she needed heart surgery so we borrowed this little tidbit from her carepage (written by OG's Mom).

. . . .

"Zoe was adopted from China in Dec 2007. I was aware that she had a VSD (Ventricular Septal Defect) but was told that it was minor (small hole).We were told that she would not require any treatment at the first heart visit but then 6 mos later (june 08) the ultrasound of her heart showed that as the hole was trying to close it had pulled in part of the valve.This is not a good thing, gone untreated it would cause problems for her."

The New Bed

Hello Friends!

Sorry that I have been around much lately, Owner Girl has been pretty busy with other things and feels bad that she hasn't had much time to update my bloggy or visit my friends! Sorry especially to everyone playing my Bingo game, we haven't had time to update bingo numbers either but we hope to have some time tomorrow to get caught up with friends and update Bingo cards!
Since I am sure you are all missing my cute face, here is a picture of me on my new dog bed!

Owner Girl made it just for me so I would have a nice soft place to lay when she is doing busy people stuff in the office.

In other news, Owner Girl's little sister Zoe will be going in for heart surgery on this Friday the 26th.

We are all getting a little nervous for the surgery and would really appreciate any thoughts and prayers that all goes well with the surgery and that Zoe makes a fast recovery.
We will update on how she is doing. You can also visit Owner Girl's mom's blog (not sure if she will be updating or not). Hopefully we'll be back tomorrow for True Colors Thursday!

The Pets of the Week!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

We unexpectedly took a break from the pets of the week but we have some great pets to show you today!

This is Mollie!
She lives in Minnesota.

She is a very sweet and shy girl that came from a very abusive situation where she was used only for breeding. She is amazingly still a sweet 7 - 8 year old Boston Terrier!

This is Harley!
He is being fostered in Iowa but his rescue is based in Minnesota.

He is a 7 year old Golden Retriever that recently had one of his back legs amputated. He is recovering very well and is running and doing beautifully with three legs.

This is Bambi!
She lives in Georgia.

She is about 3 yrs old, very sweet and playful. She listens well and is your typical velcro dane. Bambi is a small girl. She is only about 60lbs.

The Baby Birds

Hello Friends!
Here are today's Bingo numbers:

It has been very boring at my house lately. I don't have any fun adventures to post about and now it's going to rain everyday until forever. I don't even have any new pictures of me to share but we do have some pretty cool pictures of some baby birds that Owner Girl saw at her work.

There is this little bird nest by the entrance to Owner Girl's work and it had 6 baby birds in it.
She kept forgetting to bring her camera to take pictures of them but finally she remembered one day! By then only 3 birds were left since the other ones had already flown away.

Here's another picture of them from the front.

It was pretty lucky that Owner Girl remembered her camera that day cuz the next day when she got to work they were all gone! She still sees them sometimes around in the trees though!

The Graduate

Sorry we were not around at all this weekend. Owner Girl has been sick with allergies and/or some kind of cold. We have missed our Pets of the Week post 3 weeks in a row now because of computer problems, sickies and having a hard time getting approval to post the look-a-likes we find. We are searching hard this week and hopefully will have a great post for you guys this Saturday!

In other news, Owner Girl's little sister, Zoe graduated from pre-school last week!
Congratulations Zoe! Here she is with her diploma!

And she got a purple balloon to take home with her!

After her graduation, she came over to our house for lunch and a little photo shoot!

She had on a pretty polka dot dress!

She even posed for a picture with me!

Don't we both look soooo happy?!

AND today (6/15) is Zoe's Birthday!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZOE!

True Colors Thursday - Ivory/Cream

It's time for True Colors Thursday! I missed out on last week cuz Owner Girl's laptop was sick but I am back this week for Ivory or Cream!

It was pretty tough finding Ivory colored things at my house!

And the window blinds are a creamy Ivory color!

My bones and rawhide chews are sort of an Ivory shade!

Here I am enjoying one of the Ivory chews!

Would you believe that I don't have an Ivory collar?! Owner Girl better get to work on that right away and she should probably make sure we are better prepared for next week too!

The Walk in the Woods

Hello Friends!

Here are today's Bingo Numbers:

Since the vet prescribed "less treats and more walkies" for my less than girlish figure, The Owners decided to take me on a nice long walk through the woods behind our house.

I was a great adventure dog and led the way through brush!

We came across a nice little stream.

And we saw this broken tree and lots of rocks.

There was a bunch of this white fuzzy stuff all over the place. It made Owner Girl go "ACHHOOOOOO!" like a billion times!

Here I am walking with Owner Boy and his lil bro Chad. And there they are with their "walking sticks".

Here I am leading the way down the trail. See those pretty flowers next to me?

We saw lots and lots of them!

Here is part of the trail we were on. It looked kinda cool with all that white fluffy stuff!

Here I am on the way home. I was one tired dog and ready for a nice cold drink of water and a nap.

I guess this exercise stuff isn't too bad! I love to explore!
