The Tongue Shots 101

Hello Friends!
Here are today's Bingo Numbers:

I don't know about you but I just love to throw in a tongue shot every now and then when Owner Girl is having one of her "photo shoots". Although many view the tongue shot as an accidental thing it is actually an art! Let me explain, there are many different types of tongue shots and I will show you just a few that Owner Girl has been lucky enough to capture.

Exhibit A:
The "On-The-Run" Tongue Shot

For use when you just don't have time to deliver a more advanced tongue shot.

Exhibit B:
The "The-Leash-Is-Over-There" Tongue Shot

Comes in handy when your Owner doesn't seem to notice that you would like to go outside.

Exhibit C:
The "Clean-Kitty-Cat" Tongue Shot

An excellent choice after a meal, also a great way to practice multitasking: grooming & giving a tongue shot.

Exhibit D:
The "Doggie-Raspberry" Tongue Shot

A sweet and innocent type of tongue shot. Works great for puppies.

Exhibit E:
The "Let-It-All-Hang-Out" Tongue Shot

Perfect for the times when you don't have a care in the world. You're happy and like the feeling of your tongue flapping in the wind.

Exhibit F:
The "Wrap-Around" Tongue Shot

For those times when you must perform a tongue shot and have some leftover food on the side of your face. Again with the multitasking!

Exhibit G:
The "Move-My-Tongue-So-I-Can-Bite-Your-Face" Tongue Shot

This is best when you must look ferocious! If you do it right you will even cause the "photographer" to produce an out of focus picture.

Exhibit H:
The "Cover-Your-Nose" Tongue Shot

A very useful tongue shot when there is something stinky in the air. (Pirate costume not required)

Exhibit I:
The "Licking-Me-Chops" Tongue Shot

When your mouth is watering as you think of your next meal or buried treasure you're about to find. (Pirate costume not required but is best for the full effect, arrrrgh!)

Exhibit J:
The "It's-So-Cold-My-Tonuge-Is-Stuck-To-My-Nose" Tongue Shot

For those cold Winter days when your toes are frozen and you don't want be out in the snow. If you have good control and can hold the position it may even get you an express ticket back into the nice warm house.

Exhibit K:
The "OH-MY-DOG!" Tongue Shot

Never underestimate the element of surprise! This tongue shot is all about exaggeration, big eyes and a long tongue.

Exhibit L:
The "Lazy-Days" Tongue Shot

A casual execution of the Tongue Shot. Best for those who don't want to put a lot of training and effort in.

Exhibit M:
The "Dignified" Tongue Shot

One of the most difficult Tongue Shots. To be able to strike an official looking pose and then deliver a tongue shot that doesn't even look out of place is pure talent.

I hope this has been an informative lesson for you all! I know there are many other types of tongue shots out there, do you have one? Post it on your bloggy and let me know!

The Valentine's Day Gifts!

Hello Friends!
Here are today's Bingo numbers:

I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day! My day was pretty good but The Owners went out for some romantic dinner and left me at home! How rude! Anyways, Owner Girl's Sister brought her these yummy Valentine's Day cupcakes at work!

They smelled delicious! When Owner Girl got home from work on Friday, Owner Boy had these Valentine's Day treats waiting for her!

They made her smile! Her favorite was the cute little dog! Later the next day we gave Owner Boy the gifts we got for him!

I got him the doggie stuffie and a pawsome card!

It was hard work picking out the best gifts for him! I didn't even have enough energy to pose with the card I picked.

Here is the inside!

Overall we had a wonderful day and The Owners did bring home some yummy leftovers for me! What a lucky dog I am!

The Loofa Dog

Hello Friends!
Here are today's Bingo numbers:

I got a new toy last week! He's called a Loofa Dog. He has a goofy smile.

I had seen many of my friends had these Loofa Dogs and I thought I should have one too. I sniffed out this strange new creature and decided he was good. Good to eat that is! BOL!

Eventually we called a truce and we sat together and looked out the window.

This might be the beginning of a beautiful friendship!

Tibby's Tricky Tuesday!

Hello Friends!
Welcome to my tricky Tuesday! Today we will learn about another pawsome trick I know. I am still learning this one and since we have been pretty busy I haven't had very much time to practice this week. I can still do it pretty good, but you can see I try to cheat a little!

CRAWL

Here's what your owner should do:
1. Get some yummy doggie treats!
2. Have your dog lay down. Hold a treat on the ground right in front of your dog.
3. Slowly move your hand back. If your dog gets up, have her lay down again and start again.
4. If your dog starts to crawl forward say "Good Crawl!" and give her a treat!
5. Gradually move the treat further away before rewarding your dog.
6. When your dog is crawling after the treat consistently start the treat further away from her. The goal is to have your dog crawl without you having to drag the treat in front of her. (I am still learning this part)

As always, keep training sessions short and fun for your dog. Don't get frustrated if your dog is struggling with a command, move on to something she knows well and revisit the new on at a later time. Remember these are just the steps that worked for me and Owner Girl. If they don't seem to work for you and your dog, don't worry! There are many other resources and professionals that can help you.

Good luck and happy training everyone!

ALSO! Bingo starts tomorrow! Sign up by the end of the day today if you want to play!
