The Face is Broken

Hello Friends!

Look at the delicious treat that Owner Boy brought home for Owner Girl the other day!
It smelled so yummy! I sat by Owner Girl when she was eating it and she didn't even give me any!
I even tried the face! Could you ever resist this face?!
I think we should have Owner Girl's eyes checked because I was doing the sad eyes, pouty face and everything!

All that work for nothing! Not even one little crumb! I guess maybe the face is broken. Does anyone know where you can get the face fixed?

Tibby's Tricky Tuesday! & An Award

Hello friends!
So sorry for the disturbance yesterday. I have had a serious talk with the guilty parties and we are in negotiations right now. Owner Girl thinks I should let them post every now and then so that I can have a bloggy break. Plus it might help me make some kitty cat friends. But I'm not so sure I want them on my blog, it's supposed to be all about me! I'll keep you posted...

In other news, I got a wonderful award from Levi!
The award states: "This blog invests and believes in PROXIMITY - nearness in space, time and relationships!" In other words, blogs that receive this award "are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in prizes or self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers! Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award."

I would like to pass this award on to:

Bae Bae
Clover
Dannan
Dozer & Cooper
Fenway
Mona
Persephone & Buster
Three Happy Heelers

Now onto the super cool trick I know!

BOW
(Sorry for the less than pawfect pic, Owner Girl was in a hurry)

Here's what your owner should do:

1. As always get some yummy treats!

2. Have your dog stand. Hold a treat low to the ground slightly in front of your dog.

3. If your dog starts to lay down put your other hand under her belly to hold it up while her top half is down. Have her stay in that position for a few seconds and then give her the treat!

4. Some dogs will stretch out in a "bow-like" position, if your dog does use those opportunities to teach her this trick. When she first gets up wait for her to stretch out like that and when she does say "good Bow" and give her a treat!

5. As your dog gets better at bowing, you can try having her do it without your hand holding her up. Also, you can have her stay in that position for a little longer before giving her the treat.

6. Once your dog is performing this trick consistently you can phase out the treats and phase in a simplified hand signal.

7. Your dog will be bowing with the best of them in no time.

As always, these are just the steps that worked for me and Owner Girl. If they don't seem to be working for you and your dog, don't worry! There are many other resources and professionals out there that can help you! Remember to keep training sessions short and fun for your dog.
Good luck and Happy Training!

Tales From the Litterbox: Episode 1

Beta: Hello everyone, it's me Beta (The Cat)
Lynx: Oh, and me Lynx, I'm fluffy!
Beta: I think they can tell that you're fluffy by your picture. Duh.
Lynx: Oh, well can they tell that I'm soft by my picture cuz I'm soft too!
Beta: Ugh, we're not taking over Tibby's blog to talk about you.
Lynx: We're taking over Tibby's blog?! Does she know? Is she home? We should have hired one of the chinchillas as a look out!
Beta: Chill out Lynx, she'll never know.
Lynx: Ok, if you say so Beta.
Beta: Today we will be telling a scary story!
Lynx: Oh goody! What part do I get to tell?
Beta: You don't. Your only job is to say "Ooooo SCARY!" when I get to the scary part.
Lynx: Ok, got it!
Beta: Long ago, in a cabin way far out in the woods, there lived a little orange kitten. -
Lynx: - Ooooo SCARY!
Beta: That's not even the scary part! What's scary about an orange kitten?
Lynx: I dunno, I got excited!
Beta: (rolls eyes) Anyways, one day, the little orange kitten went outside to play and got mud all over his pretty little paws!
Lynx: OH NO! I hate when that happens!
Beta: Me too. Now stop interrupting the story!
Lynx: Sorry.
Beta: When the kitten got back to his cabin his owner screamed in horror!
Lynx: WHAT WAS IT?!
Beta: I'm getting there. His owner screamed in horror! The little kitten didn't know what was going on but then he heard it!
Lynx: HEARD WHAT?!
Beta: Water! Running in the sink! He tried to run back outside but it was too late! His owner scooped him up and gave him a BATH!
Lynx: ...(staring off into space)...
Beta: hmmm hmmm
Lynx: What? Oh! Oooo Scary!
Beta: They say that to this day you can hear the water running late at night and the desperate cries of the little kitten that got a bath!
Lynx: That is scary, I guess. At least he got all clean though.
Beta: Yea... Wait! I think I hear Tibby coming. Act natural. Prrrrrr Prrrrrr
Lynx: WHAT?! RUN! HIDE! MEOW! (runs off crazily)
Beta: That's not exactly natural Lynx. Prrrrrr Prrrrrr (Publishes post)

The New Year's Eve Party

Hello Friends!
I am a few days late with posting about my New Year's Eve so I do hope you will forgive me. :)

The Owners and I enjoyed a quiet evening at home. Owner Girl had to work until 11:00 and got home just in time to eat some cheese and crackers before the New Year hit!
Here I am with Owner Boy. Waiting for the ball to drop!

Here's a picture of The Owners. Chad took it all crookedy for some odd reason. Then the ball dropped and everyone said "Happy New Year!" I gave Owner Girl some smoochie kisses at midnight! Then I went looking for that ball! Here I am after I realized the ball was just that thing on the tv with all the lights. It was soo NOT a tennis ball! It dropped way slow and didn't even touch the ground! Plus it was on the tv so I couldn't have chased it even if it WAS a tennis ball!

Chip was pretty disappointed too since I told her about the ball. We were gonna have so much fun chasing it!

Then Owner Boy said he was going to bed! WHAT?! Owner Girl and I thought we were gonna party! Oh well, we all snuggled in and went to sleep. Happy New Year!

The Pets of the Week!

Happy Saturday Everyone!
I hope you all are enjoying your weekend!
Thanks so much for stopping by to see our Pets of the Week! Here they are:

THE PETS OF THE WEEK!

This is Scooter!
He lives in Minnesota.

He is one year old. He is very energetic and loves to play! He needs a fenced in yard and must find a home in the Twin Cities area.
He even has the face figured out! It works every time for me!

If you live near Scooter and are looking for a puppy pal, you can find out more about him on
his page at petfinder.com

This is Marley!
She lives in Montana.

Her under bite is a prominent feature but she also has very beautiful eyes! She'd like a quiet home and is a little shy.
To me, it looks like she always has a cute little smile on her face! I wish I could smile with my teeth like people do. Whenever I try they think I'm angry!

If you live near Marley and are looking for a darling dog, you can find out more about her on
her page at petfinder.com

This is Mojo!
He lives in Nebraska.

He is a cute little guy and is calmer than your average puppy. He is sweet and fun to play with.
They don't know how big he will get. I'm still waiting to get bigger too! What do you mean I'm not gonna get bigger? We'll just wait and see, so what if I'm 2 already.

If you live near Mojo and are looking for a forever friend, you can find out more about him on
his page at petfinder.com

Are you looking for a cute companion but don't live near Scooter, Marley or Mojo?
Don't Worry! Just go to petfinder.com and search for pets in your area!

The Second Christmas

Hello Friends!
A few days after Christmas we had a second Christmas at Owner Girl's Sister's house!
Here are some pictures from our time there.

Here's Owner Girl's brothers (Tev & Des) and her sister Zoe!
Here I am in my Christmas dress. I am sitting with Owner Girl's nephew #2 (N2) and Zoe. And here's a picture of just them. Hey...why do they look happier when I am not in the picture?

Here's a picture of Owner Girl and her mom.

Her dad was there too!

Here are some pictures of Owner Girl with her nephews.
From left to right: N2, OG, N1 Next Picture: OG, N3

I really like Owner Girl's nephews! One of them gave me almost a whole piece of pizza!
But Owner Girl caught me eating it and took it away! Not fair, it was a Christmas present!

We didn't get a picture of OG's sister. She has a very round belly and Owner Girl says we will have a new niece or nephew in a few months! I hope the new one will like to feed me too!

Here's The Owners and N1 being silly!

Here's a picture of Owner Girl and her little sis Zoe.

Wait a minute...I'm only in one of these pictures!
What do you mean I was too busy scoping out the pizza?
There better be more pics of me from New Year's Eve!

Here is a picture of OG's sister's dog, Scrappy. I guess the holidays tire her out too.

We get along pretty well as long as she doesn't try to take my pizza!

Well, at least we ended the post with a picture of a dog, even if it isn't ME!

Tibby's Tricky Thursday!

Hello Friends!
Before we get to my trick I have an urgent matter to discuss! I think that Owner Girl is turning into a dog! She has been making these barking noises and sniffing really loud. Plus she is starting to lose her human voice! I haven't seen her walking around on all fours or going potty outside yet, so I can't be sure! I sure hope she's not cuz then I'd have to share my toys and food with her!

Ok, now for the pawsome trick I know!

BELLY UP(Owner Girl photographic skills have really been lacking. Which only adds to my above theory!)

Here's what your owner should do:

1. As always get some yummy, fantastic, mouth watering treats!

2. Have your dog lay down.

3. If your dog knows how to roll over, have him do that but stop him when he gets to the "belly up" position. Give him a treat and say the command belly up!

4. If your dog doesn't know how to roll over then follow the steps for teaching him roll over but don't have him do a complete roll.

5. Once your dog is going into the belly up position without you keeping him from rolling over all the way or nudging him into the position, you can try giving him the "belly up" command only when he is laying down. It's probably a good idea to continue using helpful hand motions and treats at this point.

6. When your dog is doing "Belly Up" consistently you can phase out hand movements or switch to a simplified hand signal. Eventually you can also phase out the treats. (although there is no guarantee your dog will perform the trick without them!)

7. Remember to keep training sessions short and fun for your dog. If he is having a lot of trouble with something, don't get frustrated. Move on to a trick he knows well and revisit the new one at another time!

8. This is a great position for giving lots of belly rubs! If your dog likes to roll onto his back for belly scratches already you can use those opportunities to teach him this trick! When you are treating him to a nice belly rub, throw in a few "good belly up!"s and he will catch on in no time!

As always, these are just the steps that worked for me and Owner Girl. If they don't seem to be working for you and your dog, don't worry! There are many resources and professionals out there that can help you! Good Luck and happy training!
